Neuhaus Wild Flower Honey
The National Honey Board recommends that honey should NOT be fed to children under the age of one year old. Infant Botulism is rare but can occur and can be deadly.
Keeping your raw honey tasty....
Honey is the only food that is safe for keeping an indefinite amount of time. But that doesn't mean that it can't change itself. ALL PURE honey can and will crystallize.
Should you find your honey getting a granular or gritty texture you can get it back to it's original smooth shape in no time.
You will need to gently heat the honey. Never more than 150 degrees F or you'll run the risk in losing the all important enzymes...THE best reason to use raw honey. You can either place the sealed bottle in a pan of warm water or unsealed in the microwave it on 20% in short bursts of 20 seconds each. Shaking or stirring it between bursts.
Raw Honey for allergies....
Raw honey will contain pollen. While it's never been scientifically proven, it's said that ingesting a small amount of pollen every day can actually help reduce the symptoms of pollen related allergies. Sort of a homeopathic way of inoculating yourself.
An important thing to remember is that in order to get relief from your pollen related allergies, you should have honey that is within a 50 mile radius from your home. Start with 1 tablespoon a day to see if it works for you.
