The first challenge issued was to pour what's called a "Tiger-Stripe" swirl. A tiger-stripe is created by layering and alternating colored soaps in the mold in a single strip down the middle of the mold.
Ideally, one should come up with some clearly defined lines. Of course yours truly didn't get that. I tried. But instead of pouring down the middle, I sorta got off to the side a bit. Off kilter if you will. (So what else is new with me?? A little off center.) The results? Really COOOOOL! Happy accidents are the best.
Introducing "Love Me Do!" in a wimpy kitten-stripe rather than a ferocious tiger-stripe. But I'm more than thrilled with how it turned out and hope that I can recreate it! ☺
"Love Me Do" smells like fruity peach, strawberry and tangerine, with middle notes of fresh green herbs and ending with a musk note. As you know, I cure all my soaps for 6 weeks before putting it up for sale. Watch for this to put on the website in mid May!
In the meantime, check out the website for some of the other new soaps recently added! "Clean Cotton" is flying off the shelves. If sales stay strong, I'll consider adding it to the regular line of products.
Until next time: Stay Sudsy, my friends. Stay Sudsy!
